He has over 25 years of experience in the application of statistical methods in the process industry. He has coached many training sessions on various topics, including Six Sigma. His wide practical knowledge allows him to make even technical concepts easily understand­able by participants.

Dr. Solot holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, both from the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne).

Course Description

The course starts by introducing the fundamentals of the Six Sigma methodology, highlighting how its structured, project-oriented approach – organized into five key steps (DMAIC: Define - Measure - Analyse - Improve - Control) – helps achieve improvement objectives efficiently. You will then get an overview of the appropriate Six Sigma tools for each phase. The course focuses on the simplest yet highly effective tools, demonstrating their application through real-world examples from successful projects. Practical exercises will also allow you to apply these tools to practical cases. Finally, you will discover how to effectively implement the Six Sigma methodology within a company, addressing in particular the key project management and organizational factors that drive success.

  • No previous statistical knowledge necessary, basic knowledge of Excel is an advantage.
